Section 551.006(c) limits the use of this online message board to “members of the governmental body or staff members of the governmental body who have received specific authorization from a member of the governmental body.”
In order to create an account, an individual must be a member of the Houston First Corporation Board of Directors, a member of a Committee of the Board, or a staff member expressly authorized by the Board, or the Chair of the Board. At such time an individual is no longer a member of the HFC Board, a member of an HFC Board Committee, or employed by HFC, his or her account will be deactivated.
In accordance with Sec. 551.006 of the Texas Government Code, the Board of Directors of Houston First Corporation and Board Committees of Houston First Corporation may not vote or take any action that is required to be taken at a meeting by posting on the online message board.
